Default ITT TECH

well.. im getting tired of wayne state and the BS classes i have to take there that have nothing to do with what i want. so on wed morning i went to ITT tech out in canton to visit thier campus and learn more about them. the more i learned the more i like it. its 2 years and i come out with a degree in CAD/Drafting. awesome place, good teacher/student ratio. and just the classes i need. the only downside is the $$ for this place. its pretty expensive. but i think im just going to drown myself in student loans to get out to what i want. plus this college is all over the country, and if i ever want to move, i just tell them and they send my paperwork to one of the brances and thats it. started doing the financial paperwork today.. i got all dizzy and somewhat sad when i saw the big numbers. so yay me. goin to tech school. now to see how i can factor in a new laptop into all the loan paperwork. or maybe ill leave that for next year...
some of the stuff i learn is also how to take apart and fix a computer along with diagnosing it. and some math, physics, and compasition.. but it all deals exclussively with the subject matter..

anyone else attend ITT tech or a diff tech school?

Default Design

A guy at work went there for cad traing and was bummed nothing transfered to any other schools. Would advise getting away from drafting/design. I've been doing it for almost 9 years and the field is pretty shitty. The pay has dropped in the ast 5 years. That's why I'm getting outta the field. My place my be hiring for a entry level position. Just thpugh I'd throw in my .02.

I have nothing to verify this so you really need to speak with someone who has graduated from there and has a job. There has been issues with schools that offer accelerated degree programs, such as University of Phoenix. Many consider these degrees to be worthless.

It seemed to me the ITT was being lumped into that class. I haven't looked into it as MCC is too close to ignore, but just something to keep in mind. Again, not saying this is gospel, but check it out carefully.

Talked to my former boss and he stopped going there just for that reason. I'd check w/ potential emplyers to make sure they'll even recognize these degrees. Also check to see if any of your credits from Wayne will transfer. I was told they don't. Hope it all works out for ya!
