Heidts has been on a roll lately with a lot of cool new suspension components added to their extensive catalog of hot rod and muscle car parts - you may remember a while back we showed you their narrowed four-link-plus-Panhard
suspension conversion kit for first-gen Camaros. Now, tri-five owners can trade up to a triangulated 4-link suspension as well with Heidts' new kit for 1955-1957 Chevys.
Because it's a triangulated design, no Panhard bar is required to laterally locate the axle in the car. The control arms are made from 1.25-inch x .156 tube for strength, with 3/4-inch stainless adjusters and urethane bushings, and you can get them in plain steel or polished stainless. The whole kit includes chassis and axle brackets, adjustable links, a full upper coil-over cross member, adjustable Heidts coil-overs, and all the required hardware. No cutting or floor modifications are required for this kit, and Heidts also offers axle housings with the brackets pre-installed for extra convenience.
There's a ton of other stuff you'll want on the
Heidts website, so our advice is to take all your credit cards, toss them in a Ziplock bag full of water, and stick it in the freezer for at least an hour before you log in or call them at 800-841-8188. If you have extreme self-control, you can
download their catalog online or
request a printed copy by snail mail, but you and your bank account are on your own there.
