Default More Direct Firepower from Performance Distributors

Performance Distributors' D.U.I. (Davis Unified Ignition) has long been a go-to spark solution for the pushrod motor crowd. But what if your car doesn't even have a distributor? What then? Well, you're no longer S.O.L. because you can't get a D.U.I. - Performance Distributors is about more than cap-and-rotor ignitions now, with coil upgrades for wasted spark, coil-per-plug, and COP applications.

Newest on the menu are PD's "Sultans of Spark" high performance coils for Ford Modular 4.6 and 5.4 applications. Increasing the winding count on these SOS coils boosts output from the stock 25,000 volts to a whopping 40k, giving a claimed 60% increase in spark energy and allowing you to open up spark gaps to .065". They're a direct replacement for the stockers with no modifications required, and they're covered by a one-year warranty.

Also fresh off the drawing board is the "Screamin' Demon" coil for S197 (2005-2010) V6 Mustangs. It's designed to produce a longer duration spark and allow plug gaps up to .060-.065" for a cleaner burn and hotter spark. Best of all, the Screamin' Demon's spark intensity doesn't drop off as RPM rise like the stock coil does, making it a perfect choice for boosted or cammed applications. It's epoxy-potted for vibration resistance, and mounts in the stock location in less time than it takes to read about it. Best of all, if you pair the coil with a set of LiveWires spark plug wires, PD will take 10% off the total for the set.

Don't worry, LS and SN-95 guys - Performance Distributors has you covered too, with a wide range of Screamin' Demon coils that feature more spark energy, brass secondary terminals for improved corrosion resistance compared to the typical aluminum posts, and will allow increased spark plug gaps up to .060". Fairly warned be ye, says PD - These coils are too hot for stock plug wires, and 8mm spiral core wires are highly recommended.
