Mopar will be celebrating the world’s largest one-day cruise and gathering this weekend, August 21st, at the 16th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise. More than one million visitors are expected this Saturday, and all will have the chance to hang with the Mopar crew at the corner of 13 Mile and Woodward in Royal Oak, Michigan. The "Mopar 10" Challenger, the first-ever special Mopar-edition Dodge Challenger R/T will be on-hand all with the other 40,000-plus classic Detroit machines expected.
The Direct Connection "test mule," which has been Chrysler's working test bed nearly all of Mopar's vast performance aftermarket equipment, will also be present.
“The Woodward Dream Cruise is the perfect place to showcase our Mopar brand,” explained Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group LLC. “During this event, Woodward Avenue is over-flowing with enthusiasts and we want to show every single one of them what’s new at Mopar.”
In addition, the "Ramchargers," Tom Coddington, Dave Rockwell, Dick Jones, Peter McNicholl and John Wehrly will be present at the Mopar Direct Connection Trailer at 2pm that Saturday. The drag racing legends will be available for an autograph and meet-and-greet session. Of course, Mopar Authentic Performance Gear will be on sale at the Mopar Rolling Speedshop, chocked full of Mopar hats, t-shirts, hoodies, diecasts and much more.
