Fact: Pontiac sold more cars than Audi & Vovo combined in both 08 & 09
Fact:Springhill Tenn. state of the art GM facility sitting idle and costing Taxpayers 1 million a year. Open it up with a potential 60,000 jobs,and create special built Pontiacs using the business plan and action from savingpontiac.org. They have done their homework on this plan (see white paper at site)and presented it to GM. They said no. UAW president was at first onboard with the plan but unexpectedly changed his mind.....
If it creates jobs and at the same time brings back a brand many are apparently still loyal to,then why not? If its done right w/o wasting time building SUV's and crossovers,people will buy cool looking cars. Look at all the Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers. Retro or not, the formula works for the ones that created a design that #1 looks cool#2 took the best of past retro designs and made it work. GTO ,picture the same morph that made the Mustangs. Look at a 67 and just build a modern body very similiar and trim it out nice. Then look at all these "2011" Trans Am versions that are already being created. Maybe let one of these companies start building the first Trans Ams. Chevrolet,Buick, Cadillac are just not enough American GM cars.
People need to make things happen. sign the petition, call your congressman. and bring back the Pontiac brand.
