Ever watched those televised wild rally competitions and thought, "Hey, I could do that?" Well, first, you're a little crazy, and second, you're in luck. Ford products, including the European Focus RS, have dominated rally competition in many parts of the world. Now, Ford Racing is bringing rally fever to the USA, starting with two new rally schools run by
Team O'Neil Rally School in New Hampshire.

Ford Racing has supplied 43 Fiesta Movement Fiestas to the school for use in the Fiesta Rally Experience Program. The cars have been further modified by the school for rally training. One and two-day schools are available, at a cost of $495 and $1650 respectively. The one-day course begins with a ground school, covering vehicle dynamics, safety, balance and car control.
Additional time is spent driving on either the school's skid pad or the slalom course, practicing the techniques of car control rally driving, including the left foot braking technique that professional rally drivers use. Capping off an already exciting day, you'll find yourself riding with a school instructor on a real rally stage at what they call 'maximum attack.'
The two-day school adds more specific focus on advanced skid control, along with plenty of opportunity to practice the new techniques and develop confidence, including a competitive wrap-up activity. Located in the forests of New Hampshire, the school facility includes a 6.5-mile course through the evergreens, skid pad, slalom course and other facilities.
Complete the school's offerings and perhaps you'll be joining Mikko Hirvonen in WRC Competition through Portugal next year.
