If you’ve been in the market for a pretty slick classic Chevrolet muscle car to cruise around town and show off, we came across one you just might be interested in. Although the price s a little hefty, this 1963 Chevy Nova SS that’s up for sale on
Craigslist by West Coast Motorsports in Mentone, California is one that we’d all certainly like to take for a lap or three around the block or simply call our own.
This Nova, like many full on project cars these days, is a complete frame off restoration. Under the hood lies a built 427 featuring aluminum cylinder heads and topped by a four barrel Holley carburetor, utilizing MSD Ignition, and getting a little extra motivation from an NOS nitrous system. The Bowtie is backed by a Turbo Transmission shifted with a B&M shifter. The engine bay has received a lot of attention to give it that clean, uncluttered, simplistic appearance.
Inside, you’ll find Pro Comp Ultra-Lite gauges, a full roll cage, and RCI five-point harnesses to keep you safe and sound in this bad little ride. As you can see from the photos, this car has an immaculate interior that still has a lot of its original look. The car rides on a set of 17” Chip Foose wheels out front and 20” tubed wheels in the rear. A racing fuel cell, NOS bottle, and battery are all located in the trunk. The owner indicates this car is fully street legal and runs in the 10’s on the track. Not that this Nova could really be taken as a sleeper in any way, with performance like that, this thing is a real terror on both the street and the strip. And it’s got the ultra-clean, show car looks to go along with it. Who’s got 50 grand I can borrow?
