Scott_DriveLineSolutions I need rep points!
Default mountain bikers inside

I have been out of the biking scene for about 5 years and now that i'm laid off I have been reborn. I went out and bought a Cannondale F300 at B3 and need to get back onto the trails again. Is there anyone who wants to get together and ride? Either Stony, Dodge park or Pontiac trail.

If I owned a mountain bike I'd definately be down. But I own one of those "stunt" bikes, I guess thats what its catagorized as, and I don't know how that would handle with that!!

Looking to do more riding this summer myself. I have an older Trek 850 from the late '80's, but it's still in good condition. Looking at possibly doing the Zoo-de-Mac this year again.

I haven't taken the ride thru downtown Mt. Clemens, but I've been thru Dodge Park a lot (I live close by), and a few times down 16 to Metro Beach. I like riding out at Kensington because of the scenery. It's usually always good for spotting a few deer.

I haven't been to Stony Creek in about 10 years. I'm hoping to do more of the rails-to-trails. There is a rails-to-trails the runs from St. Charles, MO (just north of St. Louis) to Kansas City, MO. I've rode this from St. Charles to Augusta, MO a few times (28 miles 1 way, 56 miles round trip). These are nice because of the smaller towns that you ride thru. There are a few of these starting to pop up in northern Macomb County and in St. Clair County.

Of course, at my advanced age, I think I need a more padded bike seat .
