Weightlifting belts...
I just went and bought a nice thick leather VALEO weightlifting belt last night and was wondering if there was a quick and easy way of breaking this belt in. This thing is a bitch to get tightened down.

Baseball glove does not = a thick weightlifting belt.
I think that if I run it over with my SUV I will likely ruin the belt.

sorry been away for a little while from the forum but to be honest...you want to break it in?
It needs to be weathered...belts especially leather just need to be broken in from abuse...I would be PISSED if ever lost mine. (had it since 1992).
add oil to it...put it in water...beat it up, twist it, smash it...just beat it up..

Good advice. It might actually help with all the built up stress, anger, and rage I have been feeling. (due to my right arm hurting so badly and holding me back)

Also, I HATE going into the gym with new equipment. I feel like such a douchebag newb. You know the guys you see with new wraps, straps, belts, shoes, etc. I seldom wash my wraps and straps for just that reason. ![lol](images/smilies/lol.gif) Those fuckers get NASTY before they get washed...but I would have it no other way.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! ![eek](http://www.detroitracing.net/forums/images/smilies/eek2.gif) I will NEVER train my back without this belt again. I moved a lot more weight as was very comfortable doing it thanks to the belt. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to buy one.

Yeah. Running it over could break the heard leather, fold it, pop the back padding, bend the metal hooks, etc.
