Default Looking for a new car? This might make you think chrysler

Chrysler today announced on most new Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge vehicles a Lifetime Powertrain Warranty. Basically.

Customers who have all factory recommended service done at our service department do not have to worry about major repair costs: Lifetime Auto Warranty program pays for all repairs to the engine, transmission, and other lubricated parts AT NO EXTRA COST as long as the original owner owns the vehicle.

It will apply to most new model-year 2006, 2007 and 2008 vehicles purchased from dealer inventory on or after July 26, 2007.

I'm sure normal wear and tear isnt covered, plus those types of warranty's always have some sort of disclaimer for owner abuse, which can be made into any scenario.

Just being cynical I guess, but its whats been done in the past.

I cant wait to see how many engines/tranny's they'd replace 5-10yrs from now. Hell most chrysler's that age i see burn as much oil as they do gas, so i should buy stock in piston ring and valve manufacturers.

Awesome Idea, I've said GM should offer a Lifetime bumper to bumper for the original owner for years now.

Consider how long the average person keeps a new car...

It would take much more than that to get me to spend my $$ on a new Chrysler product

I haven't seen the fine print, but even with that it is enough to get people to the showrooms.

I can't find a list of the excluded one's. I remember catching out of that commercial all SRT's and pretty much every Ram except for the base model.
