American Bulldog. He's 25 weeks old today and a little over 50lbs. He'll be 100+ lbs and very lean when full grown.

I am going to start him in Personal Protection and bite work training soon. He's a good family dog, time to turn him into a protective machine too.

Unhappy I gotta admit...

I sometimes miss when Diesel was just a tiny little puppy. Here he was on 12-10-06 at 6 weeks old. This was taken the night we brought him home...

Thumbs up Lean Beans...

Here she is after a month or so on Kirkland...and a bit more exercise and play thanks to the improving weather.

While she is a shorter-haired dog, her hair is longer than an AB's...hence the reason why her last couple ribs can't bee seen in this pic. While she was NEVER even remotely fat, she does seem to be leaner (and ~5lbs heavier) on Kirkland than she was on the Purina I used to feed her. And for what it's worth, she loooooves the food. Chomps it right up in no time.

And to give you an idea of her height and size, she's roughly 26" tall at the top of her shoulders and ~65lbs in that pic.

Grin To destroy, or not to destroy...

...that is the question.

Before I post the 2 pix, let me give you a little history.

This Barney doll has to be 4+ years old by now. It started out as a toy belonging to my daughter. A year or two ago it was given to Beans. It has spent months outside, in the rain, in mud, snow, washer and dryer, inside, etc. Diesel has also played with it since he joined our family on 12-10-06. The toy still looks pretty fricken close to new. It is the ONLY toy that has not only lasted a few minutes with my dogs, but has now last well over a year or two. It's almost like they don't want to tear it apart. I don't get it. They play tug-of-war with it with each other, and also me. I think I might have even run it over with my lawn mower last year. And still, it looks as if it's seen minimal play time.

Anyway, here are the pix...

To destroy, or not to destroy...

Oh nevermind, I know I will just feel bad if I do.

Diesel's only 25weeks old and he's already over 50lbs and not such a little puppy anymore.

I heard that Barney is about the 12th Barney doll Al has had to buy for the dogs. Because they just keep chewing the barney doll up. Its crazy.
