Going to lapeer this saturday never been there before.I need to get some tuning in before we go to the track rental at milan.I don't want all those marauders beating up on me. Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about lapeer.

Good: You can run alot......, Its laid back.....
Bad: everything else.....
No traction, I dont think they realy prep the track on saturdays...lol, you have to go to the consesion stand to get your slips....,Dirt pits.... Um... yeah thats about it

Good place to get a lot of runs in. Left lane has a little bump in it.

Its backyard, but I like it for getting lots of runs, and they seem to have fixed the notoriously inconsistent timing of the past couple years. Buy a helmet from a local motorcycle place for $50, its worth it trust me.
I find it best to hotlap for 5-6 passes, then let it cool for a half hour. Going in after each pass to get your slip really doesnt get the gravel out of your tires, so you'd constantly be fighting for traction.
And they do lay down VHT on saturdays, usually better than Milan does on regular T&t days from what i've seen.

oh yeah for sure....if your used to milan and driving on concrete or asphault , having a snackbar and facilities. it might be the wrong place.
i was just saying if your in it for strictly racing...i like it
and i heard the return road doesn't require 4 X 4 anymore.
as soon as my gears are in...i'll be going
