State wants to ban after market exhaust systems

the state is trying to pass a bill banning the use of after market exhaust. I posted the bill and an online pitition. this is no joke. I saw it on a buick board and now a local bike board. This is not good for our hobby.

The only good that will come out of this law is there wont be anymore of those damn fart cans every ricer feels he needs to add to his stock corolla for that crazy horsepower gain and the "cool" factor

Because I live at a major intersection, i like this because every harley that drives by wakes me up, morning, noon, or night. Not to mention everyone that owns a new Dodge Ram with a "Hemi" in it has to put some type of loud ass exhaust on it.. Its a god damn truck, whats the point??

You know i wouldn't want any laws that take away from our hobby, however at the same time i think certain groups are getting carried away with the loud exhaust thing..

I think it's because of all the ricers and harley's that this law is trying to be enforced in the first palce. At least my GN will pass

Not sure how they measure the db anyways. Would it be at idle? Anyways thanks for the support. We need to stick together and fight for our hobby!

Law doesn't go after motorcycles. It's a b.s. law. It's gonna kill a lot of small aftermarket shops. Glad to see our tax money being spent on b.s. like this.

I hear ya.. as the bikers say "loud pipes save lives", yeah and it also pisses off the lawmakers, but at the same time its the cops fault for not enforcing the currnet noise laws

what pisses me off more than anything is that cops will give people in muscle cars shit all the time about loud exhaust but yet wont do anything to the guys on the harley running straight pipes w/o baffles... i honestly cant remember one time where ive seen a harley pulled over..not saying it doesnt happen but damn
