Looking to borrow a couple of things for Norwalk
Does anyone have a set of skinny's that I could borrow for Norwalk on October 22nd? They would need to clear the 13" Cobra rotors.
Also, if anyone has or knows someone that would let me borrow their car trailor so I can tow the Cobra that Saturday, I would be more than happy to "rent" it from them for the day. Otherwise I'll have to rent one from UHaul.
Let me know.
Thanks!!!
-Chuck

99SVTAddict - If you rent a trailer from U-Haul rent it one day earlier than needed. I rented from U-Haul the two times I went to Ubly and got screwed. The first time I reserved it for Sat. pick up and the trailer was not there and had to use a tow dolly. The second time I reserved it for the Friday before and had to drive all over to track down the trailer. I reserved the trailer both times with a credit card, but their policy is they will have you a trailer within 24hrs even if you have a 9am pick up.

Yes, what he said, dont expect a reserved trailer to be on site, if the person doesnt return it, you'll be SOL
Gastmiers(sp) on Groesbeck at Frazo(or maybe its 10 mile), has good car trailers, and there is a U haul right across the street, avoid the Uhaul on Gratiot north of 13, they are extremely busy, and usually only have crap left over. Do not tell them you are going out of state!!!

Thanks for the heads up. Ya, I want it Friday night so I can load it up and take off early Saturday. I'm going to stop by this Friday to reserve it for next Friday. If there's rain scheduled for Saturday I will not be going to Norwalk though.
Hey, any issues with getting the car on the trailor? My car is lowered and has LT's.

Chuck, you remember what I had to do to get mine on the hauler, yours could possibly be the same way. 2x6's.

Scott, ya, that's what I was thinking as well.
With this weather change it's hard to keep me motivated to make this 2.5 hour trip.....I wish I just had a trailor.

You ever ran at Norwalk before??, its worth the trip, Id choose that track over Milans any day. Just look at it this way, youre going to Cedar Pointe, but to the really fun ride.

You find any front runners yet? Heard Norwalk is the bomb for racetracks. I have yet to go though.

considered by many to be one of the best IHRA tracks in the country, If it wasnt for the airport at the end of the strips property, it could easily be a national record setting track for many of the nitro guys(they need more shut down area for those guys). I know its a little cold now, but they have the best Ice cream during the summer($1 for a pound),good assortment of track grub, modern bathrooms with shower stalls for those staying over nite, some pits(the ones near the grand stands) have electrical outlets(better get there early). Ive raced there 4 times, and watched a few others. the track is very well preped, very safe.
