Repairing plastic, need suggestions ASAP!!

Ok, I need your recommendation on something ASAP! I have a problem with my pool filter...it cracked and sprung a leak. Here is a pitcure of the filter tank...

If you look at the top of the tank itself you will kinda see where the two halves are fused together by the factory. At the very top is where it cracked and it has sprung a BAD leak. I need some kind of glue/adhesive that will be able to stand some pressure, not separate when the pump is turned on, and is also waterproof.

I ahve already tried epoxy (that cracked and seperated after a couple days), syringe epoxy (same result), and a couple other products All the same turnout.

I almost need something that will almost refuse/melt the pieces back together and hold them there...if their is such a thing.

Suggestions? This needs to be fixed today after I get off work.

I shit you not. It didn't work. I just started to melt the surrounding area including the large threads at the top of the tank that the regulator screws to. I had to keep screwing it on to make sure the threads stayed formed.

How about melting some more plastic on it (maybe an old toy or something) to fuse the two pieces together?

I would just buy a new one. Even if you get it sorta fixed, it wont last.

That tank is now obsolete. I called nearly 40 places and got the same answer. If I replace the tank, I need to replace the pump, base, regulator, etc. Damn all that.

Not a terrible idea, but I'm guessing I'd need to really score the inside of the crack that I would be filling...that would require me to crack it more than its already cracked. I'm not sure I'm willing to do that.

Al my Tank cracked too before and I was able to buy just the top piece I needed and not the entire tank. It is a doughboy brand though. and why would you have to buy all (tank, pump, etc....) go buy a different brand as a Tank only and be done with it!

The regulator on top is made for that tank alone and it spins on. Most CLAMP on today.
Tank is specially made to fit on this base.
The pump is also specially made to mount to this base.
Everything needs to be replaced if I replace the tank. Trust me, I have looked into it. I have been dealing with this fucked up tank on and off for the entire summer.

That sucks, mine is not like that and all seperate.

Sometimes I just really want to rip this fucking pool down! I spend WAY more time cleaning it and/or fixing some part of it than I do enjoying it.

I said the same thing when we got ours... I got it down to a science now, besides my girls would kill me if I did that! She doesnt tell me to get rid of my toys

, but I know what ya mean.... Best thing I bought for it was a cheap timer for the filter/pump ($20)

I once used a solder gun to melt plastic together, worked pretty well actually.

Wife has used the pool maybe 2 times this summer. Alexia however I can't keep her out of it. That timer is a great idea. Do they make timers that take a 220 plug? If they do, I haven't seen one. I'll search Lowes.com for one right now.

That's pretty fucking genious! I threw mine at a wall last year so maybe I will pick up a new one tonight.
