Teach them what stay means and who the boss is. You shouldn't have a problem with that but its going to take a little time.

Yep. They are still dogs, one squirrel or bird and they may take off on a seconds notice.

There is a Dog Park just south of the Dupont plant on the E. side of Groesbeck in the Clem. Maybe a 1/4 mile S of Dupont. It's across the street from the baseball fields. If you can't find it Al, call me and I'll put it in Dago terms for ya.

Right. Buly breeds + dog parks = terrible idea. Even the most lax bully dog can take off and go after another dog if he feels that dog is trying to act territorial or dominant. GREAT dogs, but nothing/no one is perfect. Everyone/thing has it's faults.

Yep, also if someone elses dog goes after your bully and he/she defends himself, people will still blame the bully - thanks to the f'n media and lack of education

For example...

I had to rush Diesel to the vet this morning (all the way the hell out to 22 and VanDyke) for a walk-in appointment to have his ear looked at. We were told that the soonest we would be able to get in would be 11:00am...I got there at 9:15am.

No biggie, I expected a wait.

There were a ton of various dogs that came in that morning. Many people eyed Diesel, asked if he was a "PIT" or a "FIGHTING" dog, I told them he wasn't, blah blah blah. They said what a good looking dog he was, but they still looked at him like he was a vicious beast waiting to lash out on someone or something. The entire time we were there there had to be at LEAST 10 dogs that just went crazy. Barking, yepping, crying, etc. Diesel just sat at attention and watched the dumbasses act a fool. Diesel showed them how wrong they were and what a well behaved dog he was...especially for a 22 week old pup.

I wouldnt reccomend the power line areas, since there are alot of houses along them with their fences open. Plus its a huge area, so if he ran away you're going for a nice jog to get him.

I dunno Al, thats a tough question. This is why I eventually am going to be buying a house with a nice piece of land and fence it in.
