"How much ya bench?"
Is a phrase I must have heard close to 20 times last night.
My wife had me go with her to a wedding of her friend's and that's all people could say to me when either we first met, or when they passed, or when I was engaged in conversation I wanted no part of.
My answers where never truthful (because I could care less what these people I will never see again, thought) and they varied from "just the 45lb bar" up to "about 1000lbs."
The best was some douche I told I benched about 700lbs who proceeded to tell me how back in the day he used to throw up set's of about 600lbs or so. I acted amazing, impressed, and astonished. This fucking guy was about 5'9," 40+ years old, and 300lbs of tubby shit. But of course "back in the day" he was the man.
Also, this was a Greek wedding so MANY of the guys there had egos the size of their big ass noses.
I could not wait to get out of that place!

This shirt is baggy...well it was 6 months ago. Not anymore.
I have another wedding on the 28th of this month. I am going to buy a new suit (since I don't own a single one that fits anymore) and wear that. Maybe that will cut down on the dumbass questions.

That must be really annoying having people you don't know and don't care about asking stuff like that. It would be different if if was an old work out partner you haven't seen in 5 years.
I am thinking about buying a new suit as well. I have had mine for 4 years, and I have worn it about 2 times each year. But EVERY time I wear it people always tell me how nice I look. They should for the 630 dollars I spent at Bachrach....

I get it alot, and by alot I mean ALOT. It seems everywhere I go people stop me on the street and ask "Do you work out?" followed by "How much do you bench?"
I cant even go to the damn grocery store without some random woman asking me to flex or take my shirt off. I even had one hottie take my shirt and ask me to sign it. Its rather embarrassing to say the least, but thats what comes with being a billy bad ass like myself who WORKS OUT!!
IM gonna get a tattoo on my arm that says, "Yes I work out" I figure my bench presses go up about 75lbs each week so that tat will just take care of the first of many questions all of the these people ask me.

LMFAO!!!
The point I was trying to make was that 99% of the time when a person asks about your strengths the 1st thing they say is "How much ya bench?"
