SVT32VDOHC I need rep points!
Default Tricept workout PART II

I don't know if I should love or hate you guys that suggested the "skull crushers" WOW! I feel the burn today, and it did target the back of the tricep like I wanted!! I did use 60lbs like Al suggested, but I believe I could not use it effectively, I dropped it to 45 and I could do really good reps. I might try 50 next week.

As far as form, I start close grip, almost touch forehead, then extend upward and back down. Is this accurate? The first set I know I did wrong and it hurt my elbows, but the next two I was happy with.

I'd say that based on what you're saying, you're doing it right. I personally drop the weight to the top of my head, about and inch or two past my hair line, then all the way back up. I do close and wide grip sets.

Tuesday was my bicep/tricep day and most of my tricep sets were in the 125-145lb range. Are you using 45lbs per hand or the 45lb bar? If you're using the bar, I'd say step your weight up and get a spotter just incase. Like I said, you gotta be scared of dropping the weight to build. But remember, form is everything. Do it right, or don't do it. Just do it bigger.

I used 45lbs on a curling bar. I doubt I could do 45lbs in each hand. I did 3 sets...14 reps. What type of rep and sets should I be doing? I would say with 45lbs on a curling bar, I could have done even more. After a few weeks I know for sure I will safely use 60lbs, I notice gains quick, but yesterday, I wanted to be safe.

I hope so. I felt really pumped afterwards, and my arms looked HUGE compared to non workout days, and I didn't even touch biceps...I should have, but I was late for dinner with my girl. I hate shorting myself...but somedays I have to.
