O’FALLON, MO (February 21, 2010) - The American Drag Racing League (ADRL) has announced its 2011 Competition Licensing Policy, which goes into effect for the first race of the 2011 ADRL Tour.The season starts on March 25-26 at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas with CarSafe Dragpalooza VII presented by LenMar Motorsports.The ADRL has released the following procedures for its Competition Licensing Policy, including guidelines for the 2011 ADRL License Application, which can be downloaded on the ADRL website (
www.ADRL.us) after clicking on the “Rules” tab: • Currently, ADRL competitors are eligible to race with a current NHRA and/or IHRA license under the following guidelines: o Pro Extreme, Pro Nitrous, Extreme 10.5 and Extreme Pro Stock require a current NHRA “Class 1C”, “Class 2C” or “Class 3B” and/or an IHRA “Class A” or “Class B” license. o Pro Extreme Motorcycle requires a current NHRA “Class 1D” or “Class 2D” and/or IHRA “Class A” or “Class M” license. o Pro Junior Dragster requires a current age-appropriate NHRA and/or IHRA license. • A current NHRA/IHRA license or one that has been expired for less than one (1) year can be transferred to an ADRL license with a current physical. • An ADRL License will be considered valid for a period of two (2) years from the date of the physical. • If a competitor is applying for a new license or a previous license has been expired for more than a one (1) year, four (4) required licensing passes must be completed. • Official licensing runs must be singles and the time slips from the runs, which are to be signed by two (2) licensed drivers and the Track Manager must be included with the completed application. • Time slips must include the printed name, license number, expiration date and signature of the two (2) licensed drivers, and the Track Manager’s name and phone number that witnessed the runs. • ADRL competitors are encouraged to have their licensing runs completed off-site before entering an ADRL national event. • Newly-licensed ADRL drivers may be required to make their first qualifying pass as a single.
