Milan Rant 9-2-05

I went to Milan again for the 10.5 inch tire shootout hoping to make the show. I was betting on the NMRA racers to go to Columbus OH and not show up at Milan, I was wrong. I pilled her up to 300, got a really shitty burnout cause of Golobo taking his sweet ass time in the burnout box and my tires went dry. Well my 60' time was shitty 1.4530 and it went 9.5061 at 146. Now this was the second qualifing round and I missed the first round so I SOL. So, one of the Turbo Mustangs (Blevens) blows up a turbo at the end of the track and we sit for 1.5 hours so the Milan kids can clean up the mess, then I find out there is not going to be a 3rd round of qualifing round and again I am outide looking in. I needed to get a 9.24 or better and I had set the car up to maybe do so, I put a hot tune up on it and I never got a chance to try it out. So, I am out $50.00 for 1 pass that didn't even matter. Oh well at least I got enough C16 and NOS for the Ubly gathering!

I don't think i'd put this one on Milan.. Blevins' car threw turbo parts everywhere.. all of the ducting had holes in it.. had a hole in the fender. I heard that it knocked out the guy next to his cars window.. didn't go look to confirm though.. better safe than sorry on the top end..

What I meant is that it always seems that something always happens that shortens qualifying or time trials at the track.

Well Milan has a curfew I think 12 am or 11pm not sure. Shit happen's, it's a track and car's break.
