It’s just a big part of our racing down here. ADRL: This track has almost been a perfect scenario for records and incredible runs in all of the classes. How has that happened?EARWOOD: Everything has just come together very well. The good Lord has blessed us with a great track, a great crew and we have these great racers here for the event. The competition is very tight and my crew does such a great job prepping the race track. It’s usually the quickest fields in the ADRL and to have all those records come at this track, it’s a great honor to have that.ADRL: What impact does this race have for the track throughout the year?EARWOOD: It’s done a great deal for the community and this event pays dividends all year for the dragway. It really is incredible.ADRL: You’ve dealt with a lot of drivers and promotions over the years. Why has the ADRL struck such a chord with families and just racing fans in general?EARWOOD: It’s a drag-racing body that lets you know that you are truly welcome from when you arrive until you leave. They treat folks like they should be treated and it creates a great atmosphere.
