There aren’t many reasons to get excited about the month of November, save the annual SEMA Show. This is where all the major manufacturers and aftermarket companies come together to put on display all their new products and project cars. Unless you are employed by one of these companies (or happen to be part of the automotive media) this event is closed to the public.
This year however,
SEMA is giving a handful of automotive enthusiasts a chance not only to go to the show, but to offer their opinions about the future trends of the automotive aftermarket.
For a long time, the public had only pictures to see the utter madness that is SEMA. We have seen it first hand (when we aren’t busy running between interviews and unveilings). It is truly a humbling experience to be in the same building as many of the automotive greats in the industry.
Last year, SEMA started the Enthusiast Opinion Leader Research Project to give outsiders a look inside the industry. SEMA hopes this will give them insight as to which direction the automotive aftermarket is moving. Are restro-mods still hot? Superchargers or turbochargers? These are the kinds of questions SEMA hopes to answer. You can
apply for this program for a chance to be accepted to the 2010 SEMA show and give your opinion about the next great automotive trend.
