11secCobra I need rep points!
Default Please Help!

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to tune a 306 for a trick flow intake? Its fine once your driving but it has kinda a ruff idle (besides the cam)..

I was wondering if someone could help or tell me where I can find a diagram that tells me info on it...

Thanks

Check for a vacuum leak. Just swapping intakes shouldn't have any effect on idle quality unless you changed MAF and injectors at the same time. In that case its going to need the ecm re-tuned.

like bubba said sounds like a leak, were the surfaces that the intake bolted onto clean and flat? maybe its sitting on there crooked or something or you didnt plug something back in. Is it surging or just rough?

Thanks guys I really appreciate it..

We found two vaccum leaks and plugged them but its still running a little ruff.. I also forgot to mention we put 24# injectors in it too!

So anything at this point helps, Also my fuel pressure is only at 40 should it be higher than that?

Did you tune it or change the sample tube in the MAF for the injectors?
