Default Mickey Thompson Tires To Continue As Official Tire Of The ADRL In 2011

O’FALLON, MO (December 3, 2010) - As a sign of their continued strong and growing relationship the American Drag Racing League (ADRL) is proud to announce that Mickey Thompson Tires will remain as the official tire of the ADRL for the 2011 season.Mickey Thompson will also continue to offer its comprehensive contingency program to five professional classes (Pro Extreme, Pro Nitrous, Extreme 10.5, Pro Extreme Motorcycle, Extreme Pro Stock) for the 2011 ADRL Tour.“The ADRL is a great partner and very loyal and we truly enjoy working with everyone there,” Mickey Thompson Motorsports Manager Carl Robinson said.“We find it to be a very good match for our brand.”Robinson believes the relationship will only grow in 2011 as both the Mickey Thompson tire and wheel product continues to receive rave reviews in all ADRL classes.“The whole Mickey Thompson crew has been so good to work with over the years. We are all thrilled to have them back with us for the 2011 tour,” ADRL Executive Vice President Jeff Fortune said. “Their tremendous support of our racers and events has been instrumental in the growth and success of the ADRL and I can’t imagine having our races without them involved.”Robinson said there is plenty to look forward to in 2011 with the continued development of new tires for both the Pro Extreme and Extreme Pro Stock classes.“That potential is very exciting,” Robinson said. “At the current time, we have a good product, but our desire is to develop a new product into a new technical zone. That’s exciting.”The ADRL and Mickey Thompson are also elated about the growth of their partnership over the last year and have even bigger plans in mind for 2011.“To see all of the new cars coming in, all of the opportunities for new venues and watching the business itself continue to grow, this is what we want to see,” Robinson said. “You have to have a good group to work with and that group is in place. We want to continue to watch it grow and we’ve got a lot of confidence in the ADRL and its racers.”ADRL Vice President of Sales and Marketing Brian Evans is also elated with the level of confidence Mickey Thompson is displaying for the 2011 season.“It is very exciting to have an industry leader like Mickey Thompson continue its support of the ADRL. It’s a sign of the hard work that both have done to strengthen the relationship and we expect 2011 to be an even more amazing year,” Evans said.“Mickey Thompson is always on the cutting edge with their products and their continued involvement will continue to benefit everyone involved with the ADRL.”(Photos by ADRL/Richards)
