orangejuiced86 I need rep points!
Default Just a thought.

I switched up my bicep and tricep workout. I used to do tri's with chest and bi's with back, I now do then both together. I got a much better arm workout yesterday... Im not sure how many do it the way I was, but just thought I would share. My arms are like jelly right now, lol

I do about the same too, It gives me the feel of a better workout also.
I just work my biceps/back a little when I do chest/triceps then then hit the back and biceps again in the week, I just give my chest/triceps a light workout that day.

X2. And I alternate between bi's and tri's exercises. Give the other muscle group some time to rest. Bi's fatigue quickly.

Maybe yours. I can work bi's and tri's till I pass out and NEVER get sore anymore. I miss not being able to shampoo my hair or touch my face after an arm day.

Back when I used to train, I could never do it like this, because I would always be sore for at least a day and sometimes two days. So, if I was doing biceps, it would be a couple days before I could do back, due to the fact that you can't properly do back if your bi's are sore. It was the same thing with chest/tris. I never stopped getting sore, even though I trained hard for a few years.

I see what your saying, but I don't understand how you always got sore to the point where you couldn't train another upper body muscle group.

It's always been my understanding that when training natural, working out a sore muscle is stupid, and can actually put you backwords with muscle growth. That actually happened to me when I first started working out at 16 years old. It's been almost 15 years since I've trained seriously, so maybe that thought has changed. Regardless, when I lift, I do it hard. My bi's are normally sore to the point that I couldnt move enough weight on back exercises the next couple days to make it worthwhile. So I'd train back first, then bi's, even though it would seriously hinder my bi poundages.

I get what you're saying. What I don't get is how you physically got so sore with every workout...even after many months of heavy training. I train till failure, and am constantly changing my routine and exercises, and I can't remember the last time my bi's, tri's, delts were sore.
