Car Audio Question
Looking at putting a small audio system together. The vehicle is a 2001 extended cab f150. Not looking to shake the truck apart just looking for something that sounds good with all types of music. Not looking to spend huge $$ on a competition type set-up. Wanted to put some subs under the rear seat of the truck. What do you guys suggest?

I have Boston components in my doors and a 12" Alpine type-R sub in a vented enclosure with a Directed 1200 watt running the sub and an old Lanzar Opti 50 running the doors. It sounds good but i need more power to the front. Rhe rears right now are stock (because they're a huge PITA to replace on Chevys) running off the head unit (50x4).
I'd suggest a good set of components, a high powered head unit and a good sub/box/amp.

Used to run all Lanzar stuff back in the day. Wish I still had some of it.

Think I had a Opti150? Can't remember the model. Had two 12's and 2 15's in my s15. It was a little on the loud side according the Roseville police.

If you want to wait a while i come across stuff all the time. I just sold a brand new Alpine 600w mono amp and a 600w Pioneer 12" sub in a box for $125.

Yeah Roseville never liked the 4 10" subs in my old Mustang or the 3 12" subs in the Jeep. Except for when I was blaring country, then they would just drive past and laugh.

Yep it cost me $120 and had to show up in court. That was after the judge reduced the fine.

No problem. I'll probably just get the head unit from work since I can get a deal on it.

My brother has a Pioneer sitting here almost brand new. http://www.pricegrabber.com/p__Pione...h=deh%2Bp470mp
I'll ask him what he wants for it.
