Tony Pedregon and Kenny Nowling, founder of the American Drag Racing League (ADRL), have formed a unique partnership, one that has Pedregon promoting the ADRL through his NHRA nitro Funny Car. “I have always been a big fan of the Pro Extreme and Pro Nitrous classes and am very impressed with the growth and appeal of the ADRL,” said Pedregon, the NHRA Funny Car champion in 2003 and 2008. Nowling founded the ADRL in 2004 and helped create and administered the NHRA Pro Mod Series from 2002-2005. His series does not include Top Fuel and Funny Car. “I, like Tony, have a deep passion for promoting the sport of drag racing,” said Nowling, who is the ADRL President and CEO. “This partnership will expose fans who may not be familiar with the ADRL yet to our brand of drag racing. I have been a huge Tony Pedregon fan since his dramatic championship winning season of 2003. His relentless, never-say-die attitude both on and off the track make him a perfect partner for the ADRL. I have to admit I get goose bumps every time he pulls to the line with the ADRL logos on the side of his hot rod.” “My goal is to promote the sport of drag racing,” added Pedregon. “Although I compete in a different series and in a different class, I am still a big fan of racing and horsepower!” Pedregon will be attending the ADRL’s next event, the ADRL Hardee’s Gateway Drags III, at Gateway International Raceway on Aug. 6-7 near St. Louis
