Just got back from track
I finally got down to the track tonight, 41 degrees tonight, a little on the chilly side. Well anyways I got 4 runs in, could have gotten a 5th but it was a long time and would have tooken at least a hour to make one more. I got my best runs tonight.
Run #1 The car felt a little loose at about the 1/8 mile mark and fell alseep at the light. I launched soft
R/T .676 (perfect is .000)
60' 2.33
1/8 9.557
mph 75.6
1/4 14.846
mph 92.33
Run #2 Launched at about 1700rpm, spun a little
R/T .591
60' 2.310
1/8 9.505
mph 75.80
1/4 14.788
mph 92.49
Run #3 I got vaporlock on my fuel line and stalled during my burn out and then chugged through 1st gear. I know what happened, I got in the end of the one staging lane and then were moving so I idled the whole time up, when I got to the line I was at 200 degrees (I never go over 200 degrees, even with a flex fan)
R/T .635
60' 2.677
1/8 10.436
mph 71.82
1/4 15.952
mph 89.22
Run #4 launched at 2100-2200 rpms, she bit hard off the line, almost thought I broke something, it spun a little after a couple feet but gripped back up
R/T .133
60' 2.172
1/8 9.357
mph 75.94
1/4 14.625
mph 92.80
After 2 and a half years I finally broke out of my 2.3 60' barrier. I still got a little wheel spin but I finally beat 2.3. I think if I got one more try with a warmer track I would have gotten 14.5-14.4. I also did this with a full size spare, portable hydro jack, and tools. I ran my tires at 40 psi up front and 25 psi in the rear. I was shifting at 5500 rpms. Next time I go I'm taking out the passenger seat, back seat, all the junk in my trunk, and amybe disconnecting my front sway bar.
