We love it when people tell us, "Man, you can't run that on the street" or "That'll never work." In fact, it's challenges like those that encourage the intrepid to go out and prove the naysayers wrong. I think that somebody must've said those fateful words to the owner of this wickedly outrageous '56 Ford F-150 when asked, "Say, you think I could hook up a 4x4 truck with two live small block Chevys?"
This '56 Ford can run on the motor in the cab (you read that right) or off both simultaneously, the one in the cab and the one under the hood. Both small blocks are backed by Powerglide transmissions, and work through a transfer case then to the rear end. The video, posted by the owner's son, naming himself "Reeder77," explains that a lever locks both throttles to the gas pedal. The main motor is a stroked 383 small block Chevy and the secondary motor is a over-bored 355 Chevy. It has a Pontiac Trans Am front clip, 12-bolt rearend, a fiberglass front-flip hood, and an aluminum bed. Best of all, this truck produces approximately 900-to-1000hp with both engines running.
