manual rack question
I was told a mustang II rack would work on a fox body. I didn't think that they would just wanted to confirm. In pics they look shorter.

Think they're now around $120 w/ core. I'll have to check the next time I work. Also I believe one from a fairmont should work also.

Anyone that is getting one of these racks...if you want a free brand new pair of outer tie rod ends, let me know. I have some that have never been used but I needed to use a bumpsteer kit so I couldn't use them.

Only thing i would recommend when doing this is putting a race joint in place of the rag joint. The rag joints get a little sloppy after a while. I baught one outta summit with the correct shaft size and spline count. Installed the rack, mocked up the shaft, cut it down and had a REPUTABLE shop weld the knuckle on the factory shaft. I think i paid 95 for the knuckle, well worth the price for a joint that will never need to be replaced. And it takes up mych less room at the joint.

very good point. If that rag joint fails at speed you could be in trouble.
