Yesterday morning i was on my cell phone with a client when another call came in from an 866 number, so i ended the call with the client expecting the incoming call to be the insurance company, doctor, hospital etc..something important.
So i answer it and its a salesperson from Sprint calling to ask if i wanted to change my plan since i went way over the minutes a few months ago. So I'm pissed.. i was in the middle of an important call and now i'm getting a sales call from Sprint (a company i just signed a new contract with 2 months ago). So i went off on the lady and she clearly did NOT want to hear my bitching at her and told me "If you have a problem call Sprint customer service" and hung up on me.
So long story short (trying anyways) i called Sprint last night and bitched. I said if i would have known you fuckers were going to call me with bullshit I want to know how much money its going to take to make you motherfuckers go away. I want out of my contract NOW! The guy says "well sir i'll do whatever it takes to keep you with Sprint and make you happy." I said not only all the sales calls, but my new Katana phone i just got is always missing calls going right into voicemail, not even ringing..full signal almost always, etc. So the guy says i'll give you a new phone, then proceeded to give me suggestions on comparable phones..as i was talking to him i was looking at them on their website.. i suggested the treo, and he said he'd give it to me for $200, which is more than 1/2 off! But i passed on it and their sending me a new Samsung A640 for free, plus i get to keep my old (new) Katana.
So now i'm somewhat happy when the guy suggests looking into my overage from the prior month that i bitched about. He knocked off 1/2 of the $128 that was added to my bill and adjusted my plan to include more minutes for the same price as i was already paying ($40/month for 1000min) now its 1200
Now i am again happy with the way Spring handles things. They go above and beyond to service their customers and keep their business. I have been with them for 7 years and have had some problems like any other wireless company out there, but overall every time something has happened they have cleared it up.
The new phone will be here today or tomorrow so we'll see how i like it
