Default Andy McCoy Race Cars Forming Partnership With ADRL In 2011

O’FALLON, MO (February 3, 2011) - The American Drag Racing League (ADRL) is excited to announce that Andy McCoy Race Cars (AMRC) has signed on as a premier sponsor for the 2011 ADRL season. The growing race car chassis and components company specializes in the fabrication of Pro Nitrous and Pro Extreme cars, making it a natural fit for AMRC to partner with the nation’s top eighth-mile drag racing league.“We are thrilled to be on board and to be part of the ADRL,” AMRC Owner Andy McCoy said. “The ADRL really lets you experiment with things and you get to see what you can do with bodies and chassis. “They really allow you to be creative and we just want to keep doing more and more with the ADRL.”McCoy noted his specialty has always been with doorslammer cars, making it an ideal pairing for both sides. He has long enjoyed the excitement of ADRL events and is particularly eager for the 2011 ADRL Tour, which begins on March 25-26 at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas.“We’re just looking to grow with the ADRL,” McCoy said. “The ADRL gives everybody such a great place to race.”McCoy is already working with a pair of high-profile drivers in Pro Extreme, the quickest doorslammer class in drag racing, leading into the 2011 season. He has teamed with Jason Hamstra, the 2009 ADRL Rookie of the Year, and is also building a new car for Mike Janis, a standout driver during the 2009 ADRL Tour. Hamstra debuted his new AMRC-built Duster late in the 2010 season to impressive results, and McCoy has high hopes for both drivers in 2011. “We’re pretty excited to have some heavy hitters like that,” McCoy said. “We’re thrilled to death, really. Mike and Jason are both capable of winning any race they are in. Our goal is to see our customers winning championships.“We’re excited in the direction we’re headed this year.”AMRC has specialized in its Duster body style and is also developing a Chevelle body it hopes to debut in the coming months.“We want to bring some excitement to the ADRL with these bodies,” McCoy said. The ADRL is also pleased to have another impressive chassis manufacturer as a partner.“Andy McCoy and AMRC is a very talented chassis shop and we are excited to have them as a sponsor for the 2011 ADRL season,” ADRL Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Brian Evans said.“By partnering with the ADRL, it opens up an entirely new window for them to be in contact and help even more racers with their great products.”
