O’FALLON, MO (March 10, 2011) - The American Drag Racing League (ADRL) will be presented live like it never has before in 2011.In a cutting-edge step for live coverage in all of drag racing, the ADRL announced on Thursdays its plans to expand its in-depth live, online video broadcasts that debuted in 2010 to incredible acclaim and viewership. On top of that, the ADRL also announced its television contract with MavTV has been renewed for 2011, plus, for the first time, the ADRL will also be broadcast on Fox Sports Middle East. For the 2011 Tour, which begins on March 25-26 with CarSafe Dragpalooza VII presented by LenMar Motorsports and spans 10 national events in nine different states, the ADRL will offer an even more comprehensive live broadcast on its website, www.ADRL.us. In all, the world’s premier eight-mile drag racing league will showcase more than 200 hours of live coverage to its growing fanbase. In addition to complete, 20-plus hour coverage of each two-day event, the ADRL will add each of the following to its live event broadcasts, which drew hundreds of thousands of viewers for each race in 2010:• Multiple Camera Angles: Included in this feature and new additions to the coverage offered in 2011 are photo finish camera angles, slow motion capability and multiple instant replays.• Behind The Scenes Features: The coverage will give viewers unprecedented behind the scenes access, including driver and team features from the pits; sponsor and product features; driver personality pieces; ADRL historical features and more.• Presentation: In addition to offering an even higher-quality video stream of the coverage, there will be more detailed and elaborate graphics, highlight reels from previous seasons, and sponsor and product features.• Online Broadcast Team: For the first time in 2011, the live webcast of each event will feature a dedicated announce team for the online audience, plus a dedicated live chat so viewers can voice their opinion and predictions on the race.• Archived Access: Each show will be available for later play. If viewers miss a race or a portion of the event, they will easily be able to access it all with this new archiving feature. Past features and highlight packages will also be available for archived viewing. “With our new live, online broadcast capabilities, we firmly believe the ADRL will have the best and most robust live streaming video coverage of any sport in 2011,” ADRL Executive Vice President Jeff Fortune said.“Combined with a broadcast television partner like MavTV who gives us great support and promotion, we are offering the most timely live coverage available. The ADRL racers are incredible competitors, and competition is always most compelling and entertaining when it is delivered live. “Our viewers won’t have to miss one minute of the great ADRL action in 2011.”All ADRL Members will have full, free access to every live race on the 2011 Tour as well as all of the archived content that will be available.Along with all the great content and benefits of being an ADRL member, the cost for the year is just $30, instantly giving members total access to each broadcast. For non-members, each event will be available for $9.95 per day or $14.95 per event.“To receive all of these online features and watch every single moment of the 2011 season for just $30 is just an incredible bargain and is a great incentive to become an ADRL member,” Fortune said.“Compared to other live online events in other sports, what the ADRL offers with its live and archived content is second to none. We’re talking about more than 200 hours of live content for 2011 in addition to the extensive archived coverage, all at no additional cost to ADRL members.”The ADRL’s burgeoning relationship with MavTV will take another leap forward in 2011, as the growing television network will continue to air an exciting and action-packed highlight show from each event.
