99SVTAddict I need rep points!
Default Weekend update

Well, yesterday was a B E A utiful day. My wife had the baby so I was out in the car. Got to visit with CobraFreak and SpdTrp. CobraFreak let me take his car out for a drive. He wanted me to see how it felt compared to mine.

First of all, with his 3.37 first gear in the tranny matched to the 4.30's out back, it goes by in a hurry. This makes traction a little limited even with the BFG drags out back. When I first hit it, first and second gear went up in smoke but made for a cool show. But once the tires warmed up a bit as long as you slipped the clutch a little at launch the tires held and the car pulled pretty damn hard. Gotta love the sound of the V1 blower. Jamie, you should be happy! That car is gonna take a lot of unsuspecting GM's since you still have the "stock" appearance My car seems to stay in the powerband just a tad longer...due to the Viper tranny gearing. Bottom line, I'm still faster Seriously though, I want to see your car at the track with the stickys on the back.

On the way home I ran into a very nice looking Mach 1. Blue. Got a chance to talk to the guy at a light for a second. Had his wife and two young daughters with him. Said his name was Bob and that Lidio did a gear and nitrous for him. Said he goes up to Mt. Clemens on Wednesday's. Anyone know this guy???????? Seemed very cool. I was turning left so we didn't race or anything like that.

Not sure what the weather is gonna be like today....woke up to a very light rain. I won't be able to make Woody's anyway as I have to go to my Grandmothers funeral today unfortunately.

Have fun boys and girls....it's gonna be a great summer!

Sounds like Jamie's car is a beast, kudos on the job .

Weather here is shaping up. Temps today in the 80's and sunny . Cobra weather is here at last.
