O’FALLON, MO (February 4, 2011) - Fresh off being named a major sponsor in the American Drag Racing League (ADRL) for the 2011 season, RJ Race Cars and Quarter-Max Chassis & Racing Components announced an exciting incentive for all Pro Nitrous (PN) competitors with the institution of a Pro Nitrous No. 1 Qualifier Program. The low qualifier program will award the top qualifier in Pro Nitrous $1,000 at each ADRL event during the 2011 season.“We are very excited about this program and we think the racers will be, too,” said RJ Race Cars Owner and President Rick Jones, whose son, Rickie, will race in PN for the first time. “We’re going to race Pro Nitrous and we want to support the class as much as possible. It’s such a cool class and we want to bring as much excitement to IT as we can.”The 2011 ADRL Tour kicks off on March 25-26 with CarSafe Dragpalooza VI at LenMar Motorsports. The event takes place at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas and will also be the kick-off of the No. 1 qualifier program in Pro Nitrous. Long regarded as one of the top classes in the ADRL, Pro Nitrous was as balanced and competitive as ever in 2010.Featuring seven different event winners and a first-time World Champion in Burton Auxier, Pro Nitrous was deeper than ever and that led to unbelievable racing throughout the year. The added incentive of the low qualifier program should only up the stakes for the incredible racers in the class.“We always want to give back to the racers and this gives them something to shoot for,” Jones said. “We haven’t been this excited for a long time. We can’t wait to start the season. This deal is going to be a lot of fun for everyone.”ADRL Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Brian Evans was thrilled with RJ Race Cars’ decision to establish the low qualifier program in Pro Nitrous.“With this announcement, Rick and RJ Race Cars have brought a great deal of excitement to an already amazing class,” Evans said.“We are excited to have them as sponsors and this is just another sign that Rick and his terrific team put the racers first.”
