I got $1,000 that says that Cory would win!!!...unless he really messes up. The first time down the 1/4 mile is a humbling experience for anybody that has never been before...
Al, there's NOTHING you have to worry about breaking at the track. Your not using the power adder and you have a solid axle. Put some DR's on the car and rev her up to about 3500....your'll get the hang of it. After 3 runs line up with Cory and lets see who wins. Motor to motor though he will pull hard on you in 3rd gear. Them just the facts.
I'm still saying there is NO WAY that Cobra is putting down the numbers the previous owner told Al it was making though Unless he was using STD numbers or something....
You two need to dyno race AND 1320 race soon so we all can move on....

Who's battling? This is what Cory and I do? It's all in good fun. We should be able to find a play to run them tomorrow night.

Yep, 3rd gear in the TA is where he will have the advantage, but I don't care, we're friends. I'll run him win or lose and it won't matter.
My 1st time down the track in this car has been a big reason why I haven't really cared about getting to the track this year. I have stage fright like a bitch. And like I said before, the numbers that the previous owner claimed where shown to me, not told. Doesn't matter though, it wasn't my slip.
Should I even bother with my 17" DR's if I make it to the trak this weekend? If I go I might just say, "piss on it" and leave the street tires on.

Al, I hear ya...I've been to the track like 5 times....I get nervous each time and my leg shakes like a bitch. But after that first fun it gets easier and easier.
You should go.
And yes, even on 17's, the DR's will make a big differnce. You just have to heat them up good. Street tires suck and make it less fun I think.

If I go on Saturday I'll probably just put the stock fronts and rears on.

Ain't that the truth...usually for me it's after I race and the adrenaline comes down and you realize how many laws you just broke. Especially when the race is close and you are getting up in speed and you realize afterwards how much tunnel vision you had during the race.

I get like that sometimes waiting on the light...your sitting there paying attention to the light hoping you get a good launch...but at the same time looking out to make sure hes not inching infront or rolling..and if thers a cop sitting 3 blocks down...Afterwards im like..ok...time to get the hell outta this area

No doubt. Especially when you hit it like 3 times in a row....dig...20 role...40 role....etc. Then the guy wants to go again. I'm like, no way you lost all 3 times and we both have loud ass obnoxious cars.....call it a day and see ya later buddy.
I have no idea how I haven't got a ticket this summer.
