What kind of plastic is it? Usually will say on the bottom. Look for symbols like TPO, PP, TPE,....etc.

I had the tank plastic welded by a pro and now it's working great.

i know what you mean about pools but, i bought acouple of items to try and make if easy as i cold.

Any of the PP's and PE's must use the same material for repair. Nothing else will bond with them. Any way good news that it is fixed. However, since that part was probably hot plated welded and you have a stress crack at the seam I would be looking at a new unit in the near furture(next month). Even though he fixed the crack he had to heat the seem which is not good. The hot plate was contaminated, not hot enough or pressure was low when the original part was made.Today they blow mold those to eliminate that seem altogether. Enjoy your pool.

The tank only sees 10-15 PSI.

Thank you for reinforcing my point to get a new tank. (no pun intended) If it only took 10psi to rupture the seem then the integrity of the whole seem is in question. That is all I have to say on the matter.
