I use a two part epoxy for gluing headlights, tail lights, header panels and other parts at work. You can buy it anywhere, but pay attention to the PSI. Get the one that is at least 3500psi.

You can also use fiberglass and resin. That is two part. It takes a while to set, but it is as hard as a ROCK and you can use it on plastic, it doesn't have to be fiberglass. Once this stuff goes on, it does not come off...

Nothing is sticking to this plastic surface no matter how much I sand it.

If you are going to use JB weld or anyhitng like that you have to get on the inside of the crack. That plastic welder might actually work. Worth a shot anyways.

For $40.00 plus the plastic welding rods, why not? I've already spent more than that on all these fucking glues and epoxies, etc.

The guys at the paint shop next to Diamonds have a "plastic welder"for fixing bumpers and things. This is the only hope I see in getting it fixed, since I have a degree in plastics I know a little about this. You need to find out what type of material it is.If its a Thermo-set,youre screwed.Should be embossed on filter somwhere. They have little strips of material just like welding rod.

What items are usually "Thermo-Set?"

I will just try it myself. Taking the tank apart, then emptying 200lbs of sand, then taking apart the filter system inside, then transporting the tank to Diamond, all to be told it won't work, or it's going to cost me more than buying the tools myself, and then putting everything back together, is not something I feel like doing tonight. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

The guys at Urban Asylum are cool, they probably wouldn't charge you much if anything.
