GTrackd, I will let you know if I'm interested.....like I said, right now just thinking.
My thinking is the nitrous would act both as an intercooler AND increase TQ.
The snow kit would cool the charge, and with methonal it would add to the octane rating of the fuel....but I don't think I'd get much if any HP or TQ. My car is basically tuned for race gas right now.

with the snow get u would prob get 60-80 hp or more ..why would u think that lowering the intake temp and adding 120 octance methanol u woudnt get HP and TQ lol? u would get a lower intake charge and its just like a nitrous wet kit but u dont have to plumb fuel lines...plus u can use windshield washer solvent at $.94 a gallon at walmart compared to $4.00 a lb of N2O thats up to you lol.

I thought the lower inlet temps were more about not having the computer retard timing and lessen power.
Most of what I read was about when people were running 92 octane (tune) and then adding methonal and adding a bunch of timing....that resulted in 60-80HP.
Since I've been running 110, if I went to lets say 94 octane and methonal for (just a number that you used) a total of 120 octane, how much more timing could be added? 2-5 degrees? I don't think I'd see 60RWHP with that, do you?
Also, I'm not sure how this would affect a/f. Right now I think I'm around 11.3.
I hear ya on the cost difference of refills. I'm waiting to see the results from this guy that is in the process of adding the snow boost cooler. Lidio is doing the tune. I will talk to Lidio afterward. If it goes good and he was impressed, I'll buy the snow kit and have him tune it next spring.
Like I said, this is all thinking at this point.
I appreciate the feedback.

Get two of the big bottles, er yeah. Heh. Seriously, you should also ask El Presidente about it though, he's had a couple (more?) years of experience running the giggle gas in his '99.

You talking about Joe Lynch?
Ya, but he's running some BIG nozzles for the giggle gas.
Since I'm thinking of this as a small boost in HP, but more as intercooling, my first instict would be the boost cooler. Plus with the boost cooler it would just be one tune and anytime I get into boost it would be on.
This is the first car topic related thread we've had here in awhile.

that would be my thought too u want it to cool the charge to make more power and lessen the chance of detonation...i didnt know u were running 110 all the time...plus once u are tuned for it..its good to go.

It's actually tuned for 94 / 110 octane. I started running 110 only this summer since it's been so hot. Just driving on the weekends though, it's only costing me a few extra dollars. I could have Lidio just add a couple of degrees to it now.
When his shop slows done he said I could come back and throw the car on the dyno and he would make some minor changes if need be for a decent price (cost of dyno plus a couple bucks I guess).
I'm at 21.5 degrees now I think.
Now the question is, with the meth/water kit do I still run 110 or go down to 93/94 octane?

I know a guy who owns a blue turbo silverado that's videos get around the net a little bit. He put a methanol kit on it, before the tranny blew up he said he hadn't run race gas since he bought the kit. He said he wasn't really going through much methanol at all. He would have been running 92 octane (highest that is available in Nebraska) He really seemed to like it.
