It was alot of fun......I was little bummed at the time about my times until i realized all of the conditions or my junk ass car and the track and all the shit i had in my trunk. i ran a 15.6 at 89 mph. My car got red flagged cuz of a bad oil leak. I limped it home and i now gotta take the front of the motor apart
All in all good times though i wanna go again when i get the car back on the road

Ubly is the easiest track for you to get to.. The other tracks are all highway, which your car isn't very good for driving that far on. The only other one is Lapeer and its about as far, actually a little further than Ubly. And we all know Lapeer isn't called "The Dirtway" for nothin'

I had a great time and glad I could finaly meet everyone to put a name with a face. Thanks bubba for the advise with the car, and driving techniques. I'd drive that 155 mile one way drive to do it all over again. Thanks again.

We didn't see your house until the trip back...you live right next to a church or something, right? We went by about 1:30 on the way there, and around 8 on the way out.

i need to go out to a track on a cold low humidity day. maybe i could pull a 17.1 out of my car. im sure i could. that 94 oct, and removed silencer overcame the weight from trunkliner, pass seat, and rear bench. and that was hotlapping. and before that when i ran in good conditions full interior, 89 oct and more weight was a 17.313. so i think its possible. maybe ill play with my timing a bit too. and im lookin at getting a P&P upper intake maybe a lower intake too. a bigger maf, and maybe some injectors with a bit of computer help. i want 16.8 on this motor.

High octane kills power in engines that don't require it. Also might wanna ice the intake next time if you're trying to squeeze a few .10ths out of it.

I ran a best of 14.5 in the GT and a 15.0 in the Lincoln. Not too bad for the two being bone stock automatics and considering the tracks weather and conditions.
Oh, and I shut down a few faster cars due to a better reaction time...that was fun!

You should have seen this late 70's-early 80's Malibu Lisa took down.. It was all loud, had a cage, and was only going in the 15's on motor and 13's on spray Lisa took it down motor-motor
