I'm also leaning towards the vacuum leak if the IAC checks out.
Thanks, will try that tonight.

Ok, bought an IAC and a can of starting fluid on the way home from work. I installed the IAC and started her up(the battery was turned off all night to reset the computer). Car idled great was like hell ya reved it up and back to f#@king searching. I sprayed starting fuid on every f#@king hose I could find. I did notice that there was two black spots on the floor from my dumps. Could the damn thing be loading up? I am running 100 oct racing fuel, could I have a burned up o2 sensor? I'm lost I know this is getting old but not sure what to check for next.

I dug this up from some old info I had saved on my pc. Not sure if it'll help since I didn't write it but it may be worth a shot.

"The EEC-IV is programmed to idle the car at 672 RPM. Incorrect throttle plate position is the primary cause of the hunting idle in most cars. To adjust this, back the screw out until it no longer touches the throttle plate stop. Insert a 0.010 feeler gauge between the screw and the stop and turn the screw until it touches the feeler gauge. Then turn the screw another 1.5 turns. Then adjust the TPS (throttle position sensor) to 0.98V."

Thank you. I did adjust the TPS, so now I will try this.

I will try anything at this point. Hell I'm trying to find a priest(sp) to perform an exersism(sp) on this damn thing. Oh well this is the joy in owning a street/strip car. Thanks to everyone for all the help and when I find this demon I will cut off its head.........sorry I will tell everyone what I find.

I think I finally found the idle problem with the car. After doing everything that was suggested to me from here and evrything I could read up on I said f@#k it I'll just change vaccum hoses. So while the car was trying to idle I pulled of the hose from the vaccum canester to the intake and the car idled just fine. Turns out I think the canester solinod prt#E4ZF-9C915-AA will not open to let vaccume thru. This f@#king part is still a dealer only part, so new part will be put on tomorrow and will tell you if it works.
