what protien do you use, if it isn't clean protien (no stuff added besides protien) your stomach wont digest it properly, and will give you gas. i use AST brand of protien cleanest on the market. i have never had a problem with gas.

now my budy used a few different kinds from GNC and he had gas like you wouldn't believe, so i switched him to AST and within 5 days he was fine

I use the Xyience protein. No gas, the chocolate tastes great...(don't buy the vanilla) and I get it cheap from GNC. Low cholesteral under 1mg per serving. I have bought cheaper and it has about 35mg per serving.

you need a digestive enzyme. OR slow down and chew your food...
bad gas is not from too much protein...and just so you know...eating lots of protein will not HURT your kidneys...
100 grams of protein is the 4 times less harmfull on the kidneys than 1 4 oz shot of liquor.
so...at 400 grams of protein has same effect as 1-2 beers.
Dont sweat it...

Unless you are training to gain muscle (bulking) 1gr per pound of body weight is sufficient for maintenance. Another thing to bare in mind is the types of protein and how long they stay with you, and how long they take the body to digest fully.

Example, a protein shake doesn't stay with you for more than 45 minutes roughly, where as animal protein (chicken, fish, beef) would stay with you much longer. Now that being said, your body can only metabolize so much protein in a given meal. Considering most of us here eat 6 meals a day, at 50g of protein your more than covered for your daily requirements.

I usually get in 40-42g of protein per meal. I'm 250lb and take in 245-260gr of protein on most days during a maintenance period.

As for shakes I use True Protein Whey Isolate. I use the orange is delicious.

Just my .02 on this.

I added like 3 more servings of fresh veggies and the farting is getting pretty intense now. I started taking beano today. Maybe that will help.
