a ? about ford 302 heads
is a ported 69 302 head any good???is it better than my stock 88 heads other than the port work?

My buddy had a set on his 302 with an E cam, headers and carb. The car went low 13's with a 5 speed and 3.73's in a LX hatch.

The '69 heads are better. Smaller combustion chamber which increases compression and it burns alot better then those huge chambers on the 88 heads. Lots of people run good numbers with '69-'71 heads, 302 or 351's. ten times better then the stock 88 heads. ONly thing I am unsure of is if the '69 heads take the larger 18mm spark plugs. For free, hell yea.

will they work good with a s-trim ,im picking it up this weekend.7hr drive

Yes or no. With forced induction you might not see a difference because the air is being forced in the engine anyways. I say if you go supercharged get a bit better cam like a E303 or F303 (Or TFS stage 1 or TFS stage 2) to make use of the heads/charger.

Are they milled at all? Make sure you get the correct length pushrods and check piston to valve clearence. Just a little FYI.

you should still get a push rod length checker and check the length of your pushrods..Its good practice.
