Default PXM’s Lozano Raising Money for IFSA Burn Victims

A non-racing injury will keep Mike Lozano from participating in the ADRL Hardee’s Gateway Drags III at Gateway International Raceway this weekend, though a driver will be taking his place. But the injury hasn’t prevented Lozano from making the trip to St. Louis for some charity work. The Pro Extreme Motorcycle driver is participating with the “100 MPH Club,” a 20-year-old motorcycle club, to raise money for the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance Burn Camp.Lozano made an appearance on Tuesday and will make another one at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Shady Jacks on South Broadway in St. Louis.Lozano will sell t-shirts for the IFSA Burn Camp, hand out tickets to the Gateway Drags and help raise money for burn victims ages 8 to 16.“It’s really been neat to put it all together and help out,” Lozano said. “It’s such a special deal and we have a good time with it.”The “100 MPH Club” has sponsored Lozano for two years and both were excited to join forces to raise money for the burn camp this season.Lozano and the club also raffled off a VIP pass for the Gateway Drags. The winner received parking and pit passes courtesy of the ADRL, as well as an official t-shirt to be a Lozano team crew member this weekend.Proceeds from the raffle will go to the burn camp.Unfortunately, Lozano will not be the one driving his motorcycle this weekend. He tore his shoulder in a household accident just hours before he was set to leave for the double-race weekend in Houston two weeks ago.“That was not a good deal,” Lozano said.Las Vegas native Sean Connor will drive in his place this weekend while Lozano will stick to tuning the bike.“We put in a new combination after Topeka (in early July) and we found some things,” Lozano said. “I think we’re zeroing in on a motor combination.”Details on PXM driver Mike Lozano’s appearance:Wednesday: 6 p.m.; Shady Jacks, South Broadway in St. Louis
