Looks killer!!! How bad was the dash to put in?? I've heard those are more involved than swapping to the 87-up dashes.

Thanks everybody. I haven't been in here for a few days, sorry for the delay.
The dash is more involved than the 87-93 style. I spent 5 hours the first night, pulling the windshield, and test fitting the dash after many many many cuts were made. Little by little I got it closer and closer. I had to give up...lugging that thing in and out over 30 times took its toll on me. So 5 hours the next day...it was in. I took it back out two other times for different reasons but in those pics...it's in for good!! I have the 2001 heater/AC box in there too. The major hang up with the 2001 dash and column is the firewall. I had to weld a hunk of 94-04 firewall in where the steering shaft goes through. There is a roller bearing bolted to that peice of metal that needs to be incorporated.
The 2001 console and seats will be upon finishing the car.
I would keep it four-eye, but I have always loved the 87-93's. When I was 10,12,14 years old...those were the hottest things around, and to me...they still are. Besides, I would have to buy 4-eyed stuff, and I have all the 87-93 stuff here....I could always change it to four-eye for the weekend... ![grinbig](http://www.detroitracing.net/forums/images/smilies/grinbig.gif) I might jsut do that....aftermarket covers are cheap...149.95?? I could spray it the same day and just buy new lights and the header panel. I know the sockets are different but who needs lights during the day?

That was my first thought. I do like the 85-86 bumper, but I can't handle the 81.
BTW...Anybody interested in any of my old 81 parts...let me know.. I have trim, moldings, decent doors, bumpers, hood, motor, rear end, front suspension, dash and dash pad, console lid and many other misc items...etc....I am parting all of it. Cheap too.
