Default Movie night...wtf!

Paul and I went to the movies tonight. We're sitting there when 2 drunk teenage thugs sit 1 seat away from us with their beer talking loud, screaming swearing, etc. We put up with it for a minute or two hoping they would shut up...but they didn't. At this time we're thinking, out of 100 very annoyed movie theater patrons, no one could tell them to STFU!? So Paul diplomatically asked them to STFU and they toned it down.

10 min before the movie is out, they got loud again. As soon as they did, 2 teenagers on the other side (that were also annoyed by them) got up and told them to come outside...they did. Movie lets out....there is blood all over by the bathrooms, the drunk kids eyes are beaten shut, and the other guys head split open, and the manager of the theater was spraying mase at them.

Anyways, just thought it was interesting.

This thread reminds me of a 20+ person fight me and 5 of my friends got into at the AMC that used to be at Hall and Hayes. (I think that I was a senior in HS or maybe one year out of HS when this happened) There were a bunch of jocks towards the from who were acting like a bunch of fucking morons and they wouldn't shut up after numerous kind requests to stop by other people in the theater. Then me and one of my buddies went down there to tell them to shut the fuck up, and all hell brock loose. It was awesome. AMC had to stop the movie, turn the lights on, and they gave almost everyone new tickets to see the movie at another time.

Ahhh, the good ole days.

Yep, the Star on Gratiot seems to have really gone down hill throughout the years. I personally haven't gone there in a quite a while because of the typical patrons, and the whole place in general. I really want to get out and see the Johnny Cash biography "Walk the Line". I probably will go to the new MJR Marketplace theater which recently opened (where the old Showcase Cinema was on 15 & Van Dyke), which is just a few miles down the road from me. It sounds like a really decent facility from what I've heard.
