mexican food
Some friends and I are going out friday and everyone wants mexican. Does anyone know where we can gedt some good mexican food? Not the generic Rio bravo crap but the authentic ass of fire the next day food.

mexican town? whats that one place called.. has upstairs and downstairs.. socimecos? i know thats spelled wrong.. but they have good food at a good price.

Pancho Vilas over on 14 and dequinder is it? They have some good mexican food. If theres a few of you going you might wanna call ahead though..there always packed!

Mexican town has the best and most authentic Mexican food around, imo. Xochi's would be my 1st suggestion, but they are all pretty good.

Another vote for Xochimilcos here, that place has great food, and even better Margaritas.

armando's in mexicantown is good to go.....
nice lunch buffet.
right by the park and the bakery...right across from the bakery
still can't find "truly" authentic around here....even mexicantown is a little "white-man-ized"
the alltime best , truly authentic mexican food is on the taco truck on the side of the road, in any farming community out west.
if you happen to find a restaurant that has "lengua" "sesos" or "cabeza" tacos ...your on the right start. get those tacos...but don't ask what it is....LOL
"carnitas" also kick ass. and "tacos al carbon"
damn a pitcher of margaritas , and some el charro soft tacos sound good now.
