Default Powersource Transportation and ADRL Extend Partnership Through 2011 Season

O’FALLON, MO. (December 23, 2010) - The American Drag Racing League (ADRL) is pleased to announce that its growing partnership with Powersource Transportation, an industry leader in trailer delivery service, will continue for the 2011 season. An excited Skip Bakos, owner and president of Powersource Transportation, talked glowingly about his company’s association with the ADRL.“I’m thrilled with our relationship with the ADRL and I think we’re going to have a really good year in 2011,” Bakos said. “We’ve only been around for one year, but we like the ADRL a lot.“They are very people-friendly and we are always treated well. We’ve got a great, great relationship with the ADRL and I know the league will just continue to grow.”Bakos and the ADRL already have a number of exciting things planned for the 2011 season, one of which will include Bakos having an ex-driver of the company at the Powersource recruiting booth at each of the ADRL events. The nine-event schedule starts March 25-26 in Baytown, Texas and runs through October.“We’re going to put up a much more lavish recruiting booth and have a nice presentation with some big-screen television,” Bakos said. “There really are a lot of opportunities at these races.”Bakos also explained the importance of his company having such a strong presence at each of the stops on the 2011 ADRL Tour.“Our sponsorship with the ADRL is all about trying to recruit over-the-road truck drivers and the ADRL’s demographics fit in perfectly with the age range and experience level we look for,” Bakos said.“The guys we’re looking for go to ADRL races and the ADRL also runs in parts of the country we like to recruit from. It really works out well for us.”Powersource’s continued participation is also an exciting move for the ADRL as the top eighth-mile drag racing series prepares to reach new heights entering its seventh season.“Skip and the rest of the Powersource team are such wonderful people and it’s always a pleasure to see them at our races,” ADRL Vice President of Sales and Marketing Brian Evans said. “They are a real partner to the ADRL and we really appreciate what their company means to our league.”In addition to being a top-notch trailer transportation team, Powersource also sponsors Pro Extreme driver Mick Snyder, who debuted with the ADRL in 2010.The newcomer impressed many late in the season, winning the Ohio Drags IV in September and will be a major threat in the class in 2011.“Mick and his team are a great group of people and we’ve had a great relationship with them for a long time,” Bakos said. “I think we’ll see a lot of them in 2011.”Bakos also can’t wait for the 2011 ADRL season to begin in March.“I see a lot of exciting things happening and we’re looking forward to a great 2011 and beyond,” Bakos said. “The ADRL truly makes us feel like family.”(Photos by ADRL)
