Default A Model B Pickup in Glastonbury, England

Here in the US, we don't have the same sense of history that permeates the "old world". With a cultural memory measured in decades rather than centuries, it's easy to forget that what seems old to us is only yesterday on a European timeline. Then again, some things defy any explanation. Maybe it's the ley lines converging on Glastonbury Tor, but something odd has transported this 1930's Ford Model B pickup truck through time and space to a pub parking lot in southwest England. Speedhunters' Jonathan Moore was "on holiday" as they say, taking a break between FIA GT races at the Glastonbury Festival (think "Lollapalooza" with an English accent), and came across this hot rod.

You gotta hand it to anybody who forgoes the far more practical Vanagon for a flathead-powered, 1950's state-of-the-hot-rodding-art throwback like this as festival transportation. Dual downdraft carbs, an Offy manifold, and Edelbrock heads, skinny spoked wheels, and Buick drums make for a sweet period-correct ride.
