"Zoinks, Scoob!" This week's Case of the Mondays is a real treat for all you car enthusiasts who are still in touch with their childhood. Sure, we've seen tons of General Lees, Bandit Trans Ams, and even a couple Ecto-1 Cadillac ambulances, but its not often that we see such a pristine homage to cartoon icon, Scooby Doo's "Mystery Machine."

Starting with a 1965 Dodge A-Series van literally two days away from the crusher, CarDomainBlog member "OldManSmithers" from Amboy, MN. Smithers explained, "The junkyard was cleaning and organizing the area the van was in. It was on the 'goes in the crusher' list."
He continued, "I have done all the work on it myself with the exception of the paint and windshield. One of my brothers, Tony cut and installed the windshield. Another of my brothers, Tom and I painted it in a 22 hour painting marathon."
Believe or not, you're looking at the Scooby Doo "Mystery Machine" on a dyno. What did it make, owner "OldManSmithers" said, "It's a mystery."
Smithers concluded, "All I know about this van is that it sat at the French Lake Junkyard for approximately 20 years and this parts inventory slip I found above the heater box when I was restoring it." Smithers revived the D-100 with a big block 383 Wedge. He did take it to the dyno, but refuses to reveal its rear wheel horsepower number, stating, "It's a mystery!"
